Privacy Policy — Plonk: The Game

Effective date: 2026-09-01 Contact: support@plonkthegame.com

The short version

Plonk: The Game does not collect your personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no servers of ours for your data to sit on. Your progress lives on your device. We never see it.

What we store on your device

Everything the game remembers is written to your device's own storage, inside the app's private container:

This information is never transmitted to us. Deleting the app deletes all of it. If you use iCloud device backups, Apple may include it in your encrypted backup under Apple's terms, not ours.

What leaves your device

Only these three things, and only in the situations described.

Game Center (optional). If you are signed in to Game Center, the game submits your score to Apple's leaderboards so you can be ranked. What gets sent is a number. Your Game Center nickname and identity are managed by Apple, not by us, and are governed by Apple's privacy policy. If you are not signed in to Game Center, nothing is submitted.

Purchases. Theme packs and Streak Freezes are bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether the purchase succeeded. We never receive or store your payment details, card numbers, or billing address.

Nearby Party (only while you are playing it). When you host or join a Nearby Party, your device communicates directly with the other players' devices over Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi. It sends only: the player name you typed, your current tower height, and your final score. This traffic goes device-to-device on your local network — it does not pass through any server of ours, and it is not stored anywhere after the match. Because other players in the room see the name you choose, don't use your full name or anything private if that concerns you.

What we do not do

microphone.

Permissions the app asks for

Local Network. Requested the first time you host or join a Nearby Party, so your device can find other players in the room. It is used only for that. Declining it means Nearby Party can't find other players; everything else in the game works normally.

Children's privacy

Plonk: The Game is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the game collects no personal information at all, there is nothing for a parent to request access to or deletion of beyond deleting the app itself.

Your choices and rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to look up, export, correct, or delete on request. You are in full control:

this app in iOS Settings.

Network access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network.

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights over personal data held about you. We hold none, so those requests have nothing to act on — but you are welcome to contact us at support@plonkthegame.com with any question.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts collecting data, we will update this policy and change the effective date above before that version ships.
